Meet Kaylyn: Lux Boss Babe

How would you best describe your style?

Ohh this one is hard! I feel like my style is always changing. One day you can catch me in a cute linen jumpsuits and sandals and the next in a dress with vans! From beachy/boho to more edgy + grunge, I don't really feel like I have a set style or vibe, just kinda wake up and see what inspires me that day. (or what fits lol) For the last nine months, my baby belly has continued to grow, so atm currently anything stretchy LOL and loving simple bodycon dresses! 

What made you want to work in fashion / open your own boutique?

I've always loved fashion and styling, so when the opportunity arrived, I jumped on it. I love styling people and making them feel good. Getting to do that everyday, is living the dream. 

What does a week in the life look like?  

Well, this has definitely changed in the last 10 years of being open. haha But now, I typically go into the store 2-3 days week and work from home the rest. Always making it a priority to make time to meet friends for lunch, see my nephews just about everyday and spend lots of time with my husband and family. 

Any advice for boss babes taking a risk to chase their dreams?

If you have a passion and dream, go for it! My biggest advice for girls who want to start their own business is, in whichever industry you choose, find your nitch! BE DIFFERENT, find what makes you stand out and why people will want to shop or work with you!
